Country duo BoomTown Saints (Chris Ramos and Ben Chism) released their brand-new
single, “The Runway,” this Friday, June 6.
Written by Drew Parker, Matt McGinn, and James McNair, “The Runway” is a poignant anthem about giving someone the freedom to chase their dreams—while always being a safe place to return. Lyrics like “Go on and fly, girl, I don’t wanna clip your wings” and “You got a place to land, I’ll be the runway” strike a heartfelt balance of support and love.
“As girl dads, this song captures the bittersweet truth—we’ll do everything we can to help our daughters take flight, even though it means watching them leave,” says Chris Ramos. “But no matter how far they go, they’ll always have a place to land if they ever need
to come home. ”Ben Chism adds, “I’ve loved this song since the first time I heard it. It reminds me of being a dad to two beautiful girls—they know I’ll always be there if they need to land, but I’ll also cheer them on to chase their dreams.”
Produced by Noah Gordon and Gary Kraen for 8 Track Entertainment, “The Runway” follows their inspiring single “This Side of Dirt”, which encouraged listeners to live boldly and without regrets.
BoomTown Saints have already earned back-to-back-to-back multi-week No. 1s with “Blacktop Don’t” (12 weeks), Good Day to GetGone” (2 weeks), and "This Side Of The Dirt", were named Music Row Magazine’s 2024 Independent Artist of the Year, 2025 CDX Nashville Group/Duo of the Year, and have garnered coverage from Billboard, CMT, Taste of Country, and Music Row. This marks their third consecutive year performing during CMA Fest.
